General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers you progressive or linear fork fork springs, made from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive fork fork spring to optimise response and, on the other hand, to increase bottoming-out resistance. The combination of "Zero Friction" fork fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork oil and the observance of the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle is very important. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork fork springs, are placed together with an abrasive medium specifically adapted for this purpose in a vibrating container, the so-called trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive medium and, through constant rubbing against each other, lead to a smoothing of the workpiece upper surface. At the end of the processing, there is a fine, glossy surface.
For Wilbers fork fork springs, this reduction of surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork fork spring set includes a recommendation regarding the viscosity of the fork oil and the height of the air chamber in the fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback to the front wheel.
