General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork fork springs, manufactured from the best and highest quality chrome-silicon steel. In touring and touring-sport applications, we generally recommend a progressive fork fork spring to optimise response and, on the other hand, increase bottoming resistance. Crucially, combine the "Zero Friction" fork fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork fork oil and observe the correct air chamber for the respective corresponding vehicle. If desired, individual tuning can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very light linear chrome-silicon fork fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork fork springs, are placed together with an abrasive medium specially designed for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive medium, and the constant rubbing together results in a smoothing of the componentupper surface. At the end of the process, a fine, shiny surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each set of fork fork springs includes a recommendation for the viscosity of the fork fork oil and the air chamber height in the fork fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback on the front wheel handlebars.
