General description

Depending on the application, Wilbers offers progressive or linear fork fork springs, made from the best and highest quality chrome silicon steel. For touring and touring sport, we generally recommend a progressive fork fork spring to optimise responsiveness on the one hand and increase bottoming resistance on the other. Crucially, this involves the combination of "Zero Friction" fork fork springs with the specially developed Wilbers fork fork oil, as well as observing the correct air chamber for the respective vehicle. If desired, an individual adjustment can be achieved in special cases by changing the air chamber.
For motorsport applications, we recommend the very lightweight linear chrome-silicon fork fork springs from Wilbers, which were co-developed by the motorsport team.

"ZERO friction" friction reduction through vibratory finishing:
During vibratory finishing, the workpieces to be processed, such as Wilbers fork fork springs, are placed together with an abrasive media specifically designed for this purpose in a vibrating container, known as a trough vibrator.
The vibrations of the container create a relative movement between the workpiece and the abrasive media and, through constant rubbing, lead to a smoothing of the workpiece surface. At the end of the processing, a fine, glossy surface is achieved.
For Wilbers fork fork springs, this reduction in surface roughness means a minimisation of friction = ZERO friction.

Each fork fork spring set includes a recommendation for the viscosity viscosity of the fork fork oil and the air chamber height in the fork fork. These values have been determined by experienced Wilbers technicians and ensure optimal riding comfort and feedback at the front wheel handlebar.
