Electronic restriction to 35 kW for Euro 4 motorcycles:
With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more attractive for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output power of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Key factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.

From the very beginning, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power, performance modifications for new Euro 4 vehicles according to currently valid guidelines. The latest version makes restricting vehicles with “ride-by-wire” even easier, faster, and more convenient. These vehicles can now be reliably reduced to 35 kW without the additional restriction plates (*) previously used. The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct ratio of gas and air at all times.

The redundancy required by law is, of course, met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced; installation is faster and very easy to carry out.
A major advantage of the MCR restriction for bikers remains the complete number-plate bracket of the twist angle on the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

(*) For Euro 4 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, additional restriction plates remain an indispensable component for correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out with reduced gas supply but fully open throttle bodies.
