Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restriction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the best possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract or with throttle travel limiters.
