GASS RS-A aluminium rim wheels – state-of-the-art technology from OZ Motorbike:

Two decades of experience and innovation from the top MotoGP and World Superbike racing teams flow into the production of the GASS RS-A 6-spoke rim wheels.

The GASS RS-A rim wheel is a further development of the well-known PIEGA aluminium forged rim wheel. The newer GASS RS-A rim wheels are manufactured using the “FE method” (finite element) – this achieves a minimisation of weight while simultaneously improving stability and rigidity.

Weight reduction reduces the moment of inertia, which in turn leads to improved acceleration and brake power. The gyroscopic effect when turning in is also reduced – handling is optimised, the bike becomes more agile and manageable.

Visually, the weight saving of the GASS RS-A is also immediately apparent: characteristic of the new rim wheel are the visible recesses on the outer edge of the rim wheel bed – a visual enhancement of the rim wheel.

Weight saving example:
The 2015 Yamaha R1 uses “light” OEM magnesium rim wheels.
The OZ PIEGA saves approx. 1.3 kg per set compared to the R1 OEM magnesium rim wheel.
The GASS RS-A further reduces the weight. The set weighs around 2.05 kg less compared to the R1 OEM magnesium rim wheel!

The rim wheels are delivered completely ready for installation: including bal bearings, angle valves, spacer bushings, rear sprocket carrier carrier for twin-sided swingarms. For twin-sided swingarms, the chain sprocket from the extensive range must be selected and ordered separately.
