Drilling template for BMW handlebar, a must-have not only for professional toolkits.For the secure fit of the switch units, the holes for the anti-rotation pins must be transferred from the original handlebar to the new handlebar.
With the LSL drilling template, the hole spacing can be easily transferred, and the drill is guided securely and precisely by a bushing.
On new BMW models, the anti-rotation fit of the switches is ensured by 4 mm screws, which are screwed through the handlebar to the opposite side.
This design presents a significant challenge for the installation of accessory handlebars.
LSL now addresses this with a new version of the LSL drilling template.
The drilling template for BMW handlebar has a 4 mm drill bush and is designed so that the handlebar can be drilled through to the opposite side.
To prevent the mechanic from hitting the template with the drill on the opposite side, the drilling process is cushioned in a countersink of the drilling template.
The drilling template is made from high-strength aluminium and hard-anodised in anthracite to increase surface hardness.
