The CRASH PAD® Classic - a protective device with guide properties.To minimise damage, our Crash Pad features an impact insert, a shock-absorbing element capable of absorbing energy.
Through a clever design, the impact pad, calculated with the aid of load simulation, yields with specific damping properties, thereby relieving attachment, bracket and the fastening of the structure.
This feature more effectively protects the motorcycle in the mounting area of the Crash Pad from damage. In the event of minor slides, replacing the inner part is usually sufficient.
The aluminium outer shell is machined from solid material and has a glossy coated surface. The rounded contour of the Crash Pad head absorbs road bumps, effectively preventing the sliding
vehicle from snagging on road irregularities (e.g., manhole covers). Thanks to a higher plastic content, the weight of the outer shell has been reduced by 30%.
As with the previous version, the offset grinding surface, positioned away from the centre of impact, generates a strong counter-torque that keeps the sliding vehicle in its direction.
Computer simulation serves as the basis for calculation and illustrates the force progression in the event of a fall. Many years of experience with crashes confirm this function.
