The CRASH PAD® Classic - protective device with guide properties.To minimise damage, our Crash Pad has been equipped with an impact insert, a shock-absorbing element capable of absorbing energy.
Through a clever design, the impact pad, calculated with the help of load simulation, yields with special damping, thereby relieving attachment, bracket and the screw connection of the construction.
This feature more effectively protects the motorcycle in the area of the Crash Pad's mounting from damage. In the event of minor slides, simply replacing the inner part is usually sufficient.
The aluminium outer shell is machined from solid, and its surface is glossy coated. The rounded contour of the Crash Pad head absorbs road bumps, effectively preventing the sliding vehicle from snagging on road irregularities (manhole covers, etc.). Due to the higher plastic content, the weight of the outer shell has been reduced by 30%.
As with the previous version, the grinding surface, offset from the impact centre, generates a strong counter-torque that keeps the sliding vehicle in line.
Computer simulation serves as the basis for calculation and illustrates the force progression in the event of a fall. Many years of experience with falls confirm this function.
