General description

The handguards for the BMW R 1300 GS not only offer excellent protection for your hands but are also a visual highlight. The one-piece design combined with the integrated flasher light, turn signals ensures a clean aesthetic.
The innovative BDC material is used here, giving the component a completely new and individual touch.
The final clear coat comes in the timeless gloss version, which underlines the sporty look of the motorcycle.
The BDC material is unique for each part and resembles marble. Ilmberger also hand-laminates BDC, which is cured in multiple stages in an autoclave and impresses not only with its exciting appearance but also with its technical properties. The various fibres scatter incident light, creating an unprecedented reflection.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, we, as the world's only carbon manufacturer, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this provides an unparalleled and unique deep effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.

- with ABE –-> no additional registration required

- sealing of all surfaces (inside and out) by unique plastic coating for protection against all types of environmental influences and optimal priming for the additional clear coat

- additional clear lacquer finish on all visible surfaces for a uniquely smooth surface

- no ageing process in the material thanks to multi-layered UV light protection
