Product details

Ilmberger Carbon Winglet right side R/S, glossy carbon, with ABE according to the usage list, for BMW M1000RR, Type SM99, Model year 2023-

General description

The largest wing a motorcycle has ever been legally allowed to ride on the street. The special design not only enables new record values on the straight. The curved shape of the wing also improves handling when leaning, allowing the positive aerodynamic effects to take effect early during acceleration.

For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, meticulously laminated by hand and cured in multiple stages in an autoclave, not only offers a unique appearance but also unique technical properties. For the same volume, it has three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its exceptionally low density, only a fraction of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our product due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from influences of all kinds from the environment, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear lacquer, this creates an unparalleled and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.

So that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, we only use the original mounting points for this part.
