Product details

Ilmberger Carbon Windscreen (gloss), Carbon for Ducati Multistrada 1200 DVT from model year 2015, with ABE according to application list

General description

The carbon windscreen, gloss finish, for the Ducati Multistrada DVT (from model year 2015) and the Multistrada Enduro (from model year 2016) replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The carbon windscreen gives the Multistrada an extremely sporty look – without neglecting functionality. Although the windscreen does not offer the same wind screen as the original touring screen, the upper body is still effectively relieved. The experience of the powerful engine becomes even more direct, and with the new, low-profile front, the Multistrada appears significantly more aggressive than in standard trim. In the gloss finish, the windscreen contrasts with the original Ducati Performance carbon parts, which are supplied with a matte surface. Of course, weight saving (typically around 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity are also key focuses. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores technically but also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
