The carbon wind tunnel cover replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently covered with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating vastly surpasses conventional clear lacquer in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
