The upper fuel tank cover replaces the original part using the original mounting points. The fuel tank cover connects the two upper fairing halves and gives the V4 R an even more aggressive look. Naturally, the Ilmberger carbon part is equipped with cut-outs for engine ventilation. The carbon part is delivered with a glossy finish and thus contrasts with the matt carbon parts offered by Ducati Performance. The focus is on weight savings (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased stiffness. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
