General Description

The upper fuel tank cover replaces the original part using the original mounting points. The fuel tank cover connects the two upper fairing halves and gives the V4 an even more aggressive look. Naturally, the Ilmberger carbon part is equipped with cut-outs for engine ventilation. The carbon part is delivered with a gloss finish, contrasting with the matte carbon parts offered by Ducati Performance.

The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% compared to the original component) and increased stiffness. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines, and then, as usual, coated with a clear plastic finish for protection against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores points technically but also distinctly emphasises the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
