The carbon lower fairing for the BMW M 1000 RR from MY 2021 onwards replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The cover offers additional protection in the event of a fall.The main focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured completely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic finish enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically; it also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
