The carbon side panel under the seat for the Honda CB 1000 R replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines, and then, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic finish for protection against environmental influences. This plastic finish significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically, it also clearly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
