The rear mudguard made of glossy carbon for the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R/SP from model year 2020 replaces the original component using the original mounting points.The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from pre-preg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines, and then, as is standard practice for us, coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating doesn't just impress technically; it also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
