Ilmberger Carbon Rear Hugger rear with chainguard for KTM 1290 Super Adventure 2019-, with ABE according to the usage list

General description

Screwed to the original mounting points, the carbon rear hugger proves itself in all situations. It protects the rider and motorcycle significantly better from dirt coming from the rear wheel. The exposed chainguard was also extended in its design compared to the original part. This means unwanted stains on the bike and rider from a well-lubricated chain are a thing of the past.
But the rear hugger can exploit its full potential not only technically but also visually. Installed in just a few minutes, the value of the motorcycle is enormously enhanced once again. To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are laid and aligned in the mould by experts. Thus, the carbon part perfectly nestles into the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts that are installed and combined, the more stunning the result.
For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, intricately laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, impresses not only with its unique appearance but also with its exceptional technical properties. It has three times the specific stiffness of steel for the same volume and, at the same time, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this creates an unparalleled and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
So that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, we use only the original mounting points for this part.
