The carbon rear fender for the BMW S1000XR replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The rear part of the chainguard is directly attached to this rear wheel cover. The original chainguard remains installed on the vehicle. In addition to its great appearance, our rear wheel cover also offers significantly increased protection against stone chips on the shock absorber. We have significantly extended the rear wheel cover compared to the original, but its great look has been preserved. The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is usual for us, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic finish enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
