General description

The carbon heel guard is a perfect way to express attention to detail. This carbon part replaces the original component using the original mounting points.

Through the combination of elegant curves and sharp edges, the carbon exhaust heat protector blends seamlessly into the modern lines of the new Aprilia like no other. But it offers many advantages, not only visually but also technically. High-quality carbon conducts heat significantly slower than the materials of the original part. This keeps the outside noticeably cooler by comparison, and the foot is better protected from burns.
To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are expertly laid and aligned in the mould. This ensures the carbon part integrates perfectly with the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts installed and combined, the more stunning the result.
Only prepreg fabric, produced specifically for this purpose and used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace, is utilised for the carbon. The material, meticulously laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, impresses not only with its unique appearance but also with its unparalleled technical properties. For the same volume, it possesses three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all types of environmental influences, Ilmberger Carbon, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, uses a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with clear lacquer, this provides an unprecedented and unique depth effect that highlights the high quality of the material.
To ensure that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, only the original mounting points are used for this part.
