General Description

The carbon heel guard is a perfect way to express attention to detail. This carbon part replaces the original component using the original mounting points.

With its combination of elegant curves and sharp edges, the carbon exhaust heat protector blends seamlessly into the modern lines of the new Aprilia. It offers not only aesthetic appeal but also many technical advantages. High-quality carbon conducts heat significantly slower than the original part's materials would. This keeps the outside noticeably cooler by comparison, better protecting the foot from burns.
To achieve a particularly harmonious overall look, the fibre layers are expertly laid into the mould and aligned. This ensures the carbon part integrates perfectly with the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts are installed and combined, the more impressive the result.
Only prepreg fabric, produced specifically for this purpose and used similarly in Formula 1 and aerospace, is used for the carbon. The material, meticulously laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, impresses not only with its unique appearance but also with its exceptional technical properties. For the same volume, it has three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, Ilmberger Carbon, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, uses a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with clear lacquer, this creates an unparalleled and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
To ensure that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, only the original mounting points are used for this part.
