Ilmberger Carbon Mudguard rear GS with Pannier Cases, Carbon for BMW R1200GS, with ABE according to usage list

General Description

The rear wheel cover, designed for maximum splash protector, for R1200GS models with pannier racks and without ESA suspension, is screwed to the cardan housing of the vehicle using the included screws. This screw connection is so ingenious and simple that it has been confirmed and protected by the German Patent Office. The length of the rear wheel cover has been chosen not only to significantly reduce the soiling of the motorcycle, but also your shock absorber will be pleased about the relief from stone chips, dirt and "sandblasting". Especially the service life of the seal and piston rod of the shock absorber is significantly increased by fitting an efficient rear wheel cover. A special clamp kit for the original GS pannier racks is included in the scope of delivery. The special shape of the rear wheel cover significantly reduces the soiling of the motorcycle by the rear wheel. The respective shape of the cover is chosen model-specifically to take into account standard suspension or tire variants. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is usual for us, coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance and durability. But the coating not only scores technically, it also clearly emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure once again. The clamps for the pannier rack system included in the scope of delivery must be mounted to create sufficient clearance for the rear wheel cover during suspension compression.
