General description

The mudguard rear for the BMW R 1300 GS is a unique product on the market. It was completely developed by Ilmberger and impresses with an innovative, patented screw connection.

Here, the innovative BDC material is used, giving the component a completely new and individual touch. The surface of each BDC part is unique and resembles marble. The BDC is also laminated by hand at Ilmberger and cures in several stages in an autoclave. The material impresses not only with its exciting appearance but also with its technical properties. The various fibres disperse the incident light and create an unprecedented reflection.

The final clear coat layer on this component is the timeless glossy version, emphasising the luxurious sporty look of the component.

To optimally protect this high-quality material from all types of environmental influencess, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this provides an unprecedented and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
