General description

The carbon front mudguard for the Ducati Panigale V4 / V4 S from 2018 onwards is supplied with a matte finish, making it a perfect match for the original special matte carbon parts offered by Ducati Performance.

The carbon front mudguard replaces the original component using the original mounting points and original screws. As is typical for Ilmberger, the mudguard is supplied iincluding with an internal cable guide for the ABS sensor cable. The special bracket for the brake lines is also present on the Ilmberger carbon part – the original lines just need to be hooked in.
The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from pre-preg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, in the next step, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in its protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically; it also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.

With its combination of elegant curves and sharp edges, the carbon exhaust heat protector blends seamlessly into the modern lines of the BMW S 1000 XR 2020 like no other. But it offers many conveniences not only visually, but also technically. High-quality carbon conducts heat significantly slower than the materials of the original part would. This keeps the exterior noticeably cooler in comparison and better protects the foot from burns.
