General description

The fuel tank cover in carbon for the BMW K 1600 GT / K 1600 GTL and K 1600 Bagger (from 2017) significantly enhances the sporty appearance of the motorcycle. The carbon part is exchanged for the original plastic part and bolted to the standard mounting points.

This product replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in its protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically, it also clearly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
