General description
The heel guard (left side L/S) for the Ducati Panigale V4 / V4 S replaces the original aluminium component. This heel guard is supplied in a matt finish and therefore perfectly matches the matt carbon parts also offered by Ducati Performance.The focus is on weight savings (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher stiffness. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then covered with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores technically, but also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
