The lower fuel tank cover in right side R/S Carbon for the Suzuki GSX R 1000 from 2017 onwards replaces the original component using the original mounting points.The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is customary with us, coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores technically, but also clearly emphasises the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
