The carbon licence plate holder for the BMW S1000R (2014-current) / S1000RR street (2010-current) / HP 4 (2012-current) replaces the original component using the original mounting points. It is slightly shorter than the original part. This makes the rear of the motorcycle appear slightly higher. The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic finish significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
