The large matt carbon exhaust heat shield for the header on the Ducati Scrambler from 2016 onwards is screwed onto existing mounting points on the vehicle. The parts are mounted using original mounting points. The carbon part was manufactured completely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is usual for us, coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
