General description

The hand guards for the BMW R 1300 GS not only offer excellent protection for your hands, but are also a visual highlight. The one-piece design in combination with the integrated flasher light, turn signals ensures a clean look.
The innovative BDC material is used here and gives the component a completely new and individual touch.
The final clear coat comes in the silk-matt version, which underlines the sporty look of the motorcycle.
The BDC material is unique for each part and resembles marble. The BDC is also laminated by hand at Ilmberger, cures in several stages in an autoclave, and convinces not only with its exciting appearance but also with its technical properties. The various fibres scatter the incident light and create an unprecedented reflection.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, we, as the world's only carbon manufacturer, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this ensures a previously unachieved and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
