The carbon ignition rotor cover for the BMW S1000R (2014-current) / S1000RR street (2010-current) / HP 4 (2012-current) is attached to the engine using the 4 original screws. The lower part of the ignition rotor cover is made from very thick carbon to protect the engine cover for as long as possible in the event of a fall. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from pre-preg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is our usual practice, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating far surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance and durability.
