The carbon ignition lock cover for the BMW R nineT / Scrambler replaces the original component using the original mounting points. Our ignition lock cover weighs only 18g. The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is usual for us, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic finish significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability.
