The ignition lock cover made of matt carbon for the Ducati Monster 1200 / 1200 S from model year 2017 replaces the original component using the original mounting points.The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores points technically, but it also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
