General Description

The glossy ignition lock cover for the Ducati Streetfighter V2 further emphasises the superbike's racing DNA. The Ilmberger Carbon ignition lock cover is installed instead of the standard plastic part and mounted exclusively at the standard mounting.


To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are expertly laid and aligned in the mould. This allows the carbon part to perfectly nestle into the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts that are installed and combined, the more impressive the result.


For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, elaborately laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, not only impresses with its unique appearance but also with its exceptional technical properties. For the same volume, it has three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.


To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influences, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this creates an unparalleled and unique deep effect that particularly highlights the high quality of the material.


To ensure that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, we only use the original mounting points for this part.
