The glossy carbon ignition lock cover for the Ducati Diavel 1260 from 2019 onwards replaces the original part and is bolted to the original mounting points on the vehicle. The high-tech carbon part is significantly lighter than its standard plastic counterpart! But as always, we focus not only on weight savings but also on the increased stiffness of the material and the particularly sporty look of the carbon fibres. In the glossy finish, the Ilmberger carbon part contrasts with the matte carbon parts offered by Ducati Performance.The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer finish in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically; it also clearly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
