General description

The matt ignition cover for the Ducati Streetfighter V2 is supplied with a matt finish and therefore perfectly matches the original Ducati Performance parts, which are also supplied in matt carbon. The Ilmberger carbon ignition cover is installed in place of the standard plastic part and is exclusively mounted at standard mountingpoints.

To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are expertly laid into the mould and aligned. This allows the carbon part to perfectly nestle into the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts that are installed and combined, the more overwhelming the result.
For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, elaborately laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, not only impresses with its unique appearance but also with its unique technical properties. For the same volume, it has three times the specific stiffness of steel and, at the same time, due to its particularly low density, only a __AT_GLORY_6__ of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, we are the only carbon manufacturer worldwide to use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this provides an unprecedented and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
So that not only riding but also wrenching is a pleasure, we only use the original mounting points for this part.
