General description
The heel guard (right side R/S) for the Ducati Panigale V4 / V4 S replaces the original aluminium component. This heel guard is supplied in a matt finish and therefore perfectly matches the equally matt carbon parts offered by Ducati Performance.The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, in the next step, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance and durability. But the coating not only scores technically; it also clearly underlines the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
