General Description

The carbon heel guard allows for a special expression of attention to detail. The carbon part replaces the original component using the original mounting points.

Through the combination of elegant curves and hard edges, the carbon exhaust heat protector nestles into the modern lines of the new Aprilia like no other. However, it offers many advantages, not only visually but also technically. High-quality carbon conducts heat significantly slower than the materials of the original part would. This keeps the outer surface noticeably cooler by comparison and better protects the foot from burns.
To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are expertly laid into the mould and aligned. The carbon part thus perfectly nestles into the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle.

Only pre-preg fabric produced specifically for this purpose is used for the carbon, similar to that found in Formula 1 and aerospace applications. The material, elaborately hand-laminated and cured in multiple stages in an autoclave, impresses not only with its unique appearance but also with its unparalleled technical properties. For the same volume, it possesses three times the specific stiffness of steel and, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, Ilmberger Carbon, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, uses a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with clear lacquer, this provides an unprecedented and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
To ensure that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, only the original mounting points are used for this part.
