The left carbon heel guard with a matt finish for the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R/SP from model year 2020 replaces the original component using the original mounting points.The focus is on weight reduction (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher stiffness. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from Prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses conventional clear lacquer coatings in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only excels technically but also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
