General Description

The carbon heel guard particularly expresses attention to detail. This carbon part replaces the original component using the original mounting points.

Through the combination of elegant curves and hard edges, the carbon exhaust heat protector blends into the modern lines of the new Aprilia like no other. But it offers many advantages not only visually, but also technically. High-quality carbon dissipates heat significantly slower than the materials of the original part would. This keeps the outside noticeably cooler in comparison and better protects the foot from burns.
To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are expertly laid into the mould and aligned. This allows the carbon part to perfectly blend into the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts that are installed and combined, the more impressive the result.
Only prepreg fabric, specifically produced for this purpose and similar to that used in Formula 1 and aerospace, is used for the carbon. The material, painstakingly laminated by hand and cured in multiple stages in an autoclave, not only impresses with its unique appearance but also with its unparalleled technical properties. For the same volume, it possesses three times the specific stiffness of steel, and at the same time, due to its exceptionally low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all types of environmental influences, Ilmberger Carbon, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, uses a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. This, in combination with clear lacquer, creates an unparalleled and unique depth effect, which highlights the high quality of the material.
To ensure that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, only the original mounting points are used for this part.
