The left carbon heel guard in a glossy finish for the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R/SP from model year 2020 replaces the original component using the original mounting points.The focus is on weight savings (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic finish significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores technically but also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
