The head light cover made of glossy carbon, for the Ducati Diavel 1260 from 2019, replaces the original part and is bolted to the original mounting points on the vehicle. This high-tech carbon part is significantly lighter than its standard plastic counterpart! But as always, we focus not only on weight saving but also on the increased material stiffness and the particularly sporty look of the carbon fibres. In its glossy finish, the Ilmberger carbon part contrasts with the matte carbon parts offered by Ducati Performance.The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, subsequently coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating far surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating enormously in its protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only scores points technically, but also significantly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
