General Description

Through a combination of elegant curves and sharp edges, the heat protector carbon exhaust seamlessly integrates into the modern lines of the new Aprilia like no other. But it offers many advantages not only visually but also technically. High-quality carbon conducts heat significantly slower than the original part's materials would. This keeps the outside noticeably cooler by comparison and better protects the foot from burns.
To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are expertly laid and aligned in the mould. This allows the carbon part to perfectly integrate into the surrounding shapes of the motorcycles. The more of our parts are installed and combined, the more impressive the result.
Only prepreg fabric, specifically produced for this purpose and similar to that used in Formula 1 and aerospace, is used for the carbon. The material, elaborately hand-laminated and aushardenede in several stages in an autoclave, impresses not only with a unique appearance but also with its unique technical properties. For the same volume, it has three times the specific stiffness of steel and, at the same time, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influencess, Ilmberger Carbon, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, uses a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with clear lacquer, this provides a hitherto unparalleled and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
So that not only riding but also fitting is a pleasure, only the original mounting points are used for this part.
