The left fuel tankside panel insert for the original fuel tankside fairing in a matt finish for the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade (SP), SC82, from 2020 onwards, replaces the original component using the original mounting points.The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is usual for us, coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating far surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically, it also clearly emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
