Product details
Ilmberger Carbon fuel tank side panel set right/left Carbon for BMW R1200GS, with ABE according to usage listGeneral description
These fuel tank carbon side panels for BMW R1200GS models from model year 2008 are manufactured entirely from carbon, deliberately omitting the original stainless steel trim. However, for fans of the stainless steel trim, we offer fuel tank side panels with polished stainless steel trims. This product replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight reduction (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic finish significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance and durability. But the coating not only scores technically, it also clearly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.| Manufacturer | Model | Type | Model Year | Homologation | ccm |
