General description

The lower fuel tank fairing for the right side in carbon, with our unique design for the Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade 2017, integrates perfectly into the overall appearance of the motorcycle. Located directly at the transition between the fuel tank and the frame, the Ilmberger Carbon lower fuel tank fairing is attached directly to original mounting points and replaces the original component.

The focus is on weight saving (typically a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, in the next step, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic finish for protection against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically; it also significantly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
