General description

The fuel tank cover top replaces the original part using the original mounting points. The fuel tank cover connects the two upper fairing halves and gives the V4 an even more aggressive look. Naturally, the Ilmberger carbon part is equipped with cut-outs for engine exhaust air. The carbon part is delivered in a glossy finish and thus contrasts with the matt carbon parts offered by Ducati Performance.

To achieve a particularly harmonious overall appearance, the fibre layers are laid into the mould and aligned by experts. This allows the carbon part to perfectly nestle into the surrounding shapes of the motorcycle. The more of our parts that are installed and combined, the more stunning the result.
For our carbon, we exclusively use prepreg fabric produced specifically for this purpose, which is also used in a similar form in Formula 1 and aerospace. The material, laminated by hand and cured in several stages in an autoclave, impresses not only with a unique appearance but also with its unique technical properties. With the same volume, it has three times the specific stiffness of steel and at the same time, due to its particularly low density, only a breakage of its weight. These properties are particularly pronounced in our products due to the high fibre volume content.
To optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of influences from the environment, we, as the only carbon manufacturer worldwide, use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear coat, this creates an unparalleled and unique depth effect, which particularly highlights the high quality of the material.
To make not only riding but also fitting a pleasure, we exclusively use the original mounting points for this part.
