The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% compared to the original component) and higher rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines, and in the next step, coated with a clear plastic coating to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating enormously surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only scores technically, it also clearly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
