General description
This Ilmberger rear wheel cover in glossy lacquered carbon for the Ducati Panigale V4 / V4 S from 2018 replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The cover is designed to be particularly vibration-resistant and its length is modelled on the original. The chainguard is also integrated into the component.The focus is on weight saving (typically around 70% saving compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as usual, then coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic finish significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. However, the coating not only excels technically but also significantly enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
